A man makes a fatal fall of a silo

A 33-year-old man died after falling a few meters from a hay silo at Saint-Herménégilde near Coaticook on Saturday morning.
The farm accident occurred around 10:30 am. Nicholas Lanciaux was doing a silage-related task when he was upstairs outside the silo.

According to the Sûreté du Québec, it was likely poisoned by the fumes from the silo, which would have led to its fall.

His death was later found, says Aurélie Guindon, spokesman for the SQ Estrie.

CNESST was notified of this work accident, adds Ms. Guindon.
