The Disney studios have unveiled the first trailer for their remake in live-action Aladdin. Which smells like nostalgia and takes us back to childhood.

Hardly 1min30 and we are already transported into the world of Agrabah and his cave of a thousand treasures. It didn’t take more for us to charm. In a first trailer for a very short, but successful, Disney succeeds in immersing us once again in this tale that has rocked our childhood. Between enchanting music, fantasy landscape and a haunting atmosphere , while particularly faithful to the cartoon original.

Only Mena Massoud, interpreter of the prince of thieves, shows up in the skin of his character to the last second of the trailer. And it is not that bad. In any case, it makes us want to see the result. For the anecdote, know that the legendary cartoon had received the Oscar of the best original soundtrack and best original song in 1993.

Aladdin is directed by Guy Ritchie, among others, known for Snatch – Tu shorthaired or tu raques or Sherlock Holmes, who is assisted by John August on writing the screenplay. Side casting, in addition to Mena Massoud in the skin of the main character, we find Will Smith, who gives his voice to the genius (and is a successor to Robin Williams in the original version), while Navid Negahban will give life to the Sultan, Numan Açar Jafar and finally Naomi Scott to Jasmine.

It should be noted that other cartoons Disney adapted in live-action are also in production. Mulan is set for release on march 27, 2020 in the United States and Dumbo, directed by Tim Burton, on march 27, 2019 in France. Aladdin will arrive on our cinema screens on may 22, 2019.
