The next production of James Cameron, Alita : Battle Angel, will be in cinemas on February 13. The film, which waits patiently for almost twenty-years in the head of its producer, book two new images of its villains.

The jungles of Pandora in Avatar in the future dystopian of the Terminator, James Cameron is a past master in the art of the science-fiction and in the painting of the future dystopian. In his next production, Alita : Battle Angel, directed by Robert Rodriguez, it’s a whole new vision of the future that awaits him.

The manga adaptation Gnunnm of Yukito Kishiro allows James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez to explore a post-apocalyptic future, where the social norms and civilization have completely changed.

In this world, Alita (Rosa Salazar), cyborg fallen was a kind of nucleus disembodied. It is revived and given a new body by Dr. Ido (Christoph Waltz). The cyborg discovers, in his pursuit of personality, that it may be the solution to the evils of his time.

The number of January 2019 Empire will celebrate 30 years of the journal, putting Alita : Battle Angel the place of honor. It reveals already has two new exclusive images from the film. Alita, far from being the only cyborg will meet lots of opponents passed during his quest. The first photo shows Zapan, the favorite character from James Cameron. Played by Ed Skrein hunter-warrior is the sworn enemy of Alita.

On the second photo (below) we see the gigantic Grewishka, a mix between Makaku and Kinuba, which transforms Jackie Earle Haley in a killing machine ten meters high. The actor said in the columns of Empire :

“He has the brute force for sure, but it also has powers thanks to cyber-doctors.”

It has already had the chance to see twenty minutes of’Alita : Battle Angel (our review here) so what to say, except that it waits with great anticipation to its release on February 13, 2019.
