The authors of the film “Mr. Jones” before the premiere screening of the film at the film festival Berlinale called for the release of Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov and other political prisoners kept in Russia. About it reports UKRINFORM.
“Today, watching this movie, I was thinking about our colleague Oleg Sentsov, Ukrainian film Director and his countrymen, political prisoners being held in Russia. We thought about them when creating this movie. We will not forget”, – said the Director Agnieszka Holland.
Before the show, the creative team held a flash mob on the red carpet of the festival with posters FreeSentsov and Freedom of speech is not a crime, portraits of Sentsov. The flash mob was joined by Ukrainian activists.
It is noted that “Mr. Jones” – the film by Polish-British-Ukrainian production, it tells the story of the Welsh journalist who witnessed the crimes of the Soviet regime in Ukraine in the 1930-ies.
The next day, at a screening of going come the staff of the German foreign Ministry, which deal with Ukrainian themes.
