The decision of the Council of the European Union on the extension of individual sanctions against Russia by six months, until March 15, 2019, today vstupila force. The corresponding decree of the Council of the EU published in the Official journal of the European Union on Friday, September 14.
The document notes that the decision shall enter into force on the day following publication in the Official journal of the European Union.
Recall, 13 September the Council of the EU announced that it had extended by six months sanctions against Russia because of its actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine.
Sanctions affect 155 individuals and 44 organizations. Individual sanctions include the freezing of assets of individuals and legal entities to Despoil the travel ban to EU countries.
