The new York startup Bollinger Motors revealed the new design of five-door modification of the electric SUV Bollinger B1. The model is now, in addition to conventional aluminum roof, offered to equip with glass panels that can be removed, leaving only the frame.

Modular design Bollinger B1 will allow to dismantle all glass panels: the roof, side and rear glass. There remains only the windscreen and frame. Also made a removable door. Serial production of the SUV will begin in late 2019 and the delivery of the client – in 2020.
In August Bollinger B1 is blown in the wind tunnel, seeing that the lifting force on the front axis is higher than at the rear. The problem was solved by increasing the size of the vents, which are now integrated spotlights and relocating the slots for the withdrawal of air from the wings on the hood.
Bollinger B1 will be equipped with twin-engine power plant with a capacity of 560 forces and 600 Nm of torque. From a standstill to 60 mph (96 kilometers per hour), the SUV can accelerate in 6.5 seconds. Its maximum speed is 160 kilometers per hour.
Bollinger B1 will receive a hydro-pneumatic suspension with ability to change ride height between 254, 390 and 508 millimeters. The angles of entry and exit of the SUV will be 56 and 53 degrees, respectively. Trunk volume with rear seats folded and front compartment – 3185 liters.
