The next James Bond with Daniel Craig is currently in production, and its director Cary Fukunaga has announced the color : it will be in the same line as Casino Royale.

Cary Fukunaga, the director behind True Detective (season 1), takes over from Sam Mendes, bringing his stone to the building, “James Bond”. Many rumors have been circulating about the plot of James Bond 25, but the only thing the filmmaker has confessed to is that the film will not begin anything new.

James Bond 25 will be in the same line as Casino Royale, the first film with Daniel Craig as secret agent. It was during an interview for the Inquirer that Cary Fukunaga has made this announcement :

“Bond is on an arc that began with Casino Royale, and I’m going to continue on this momentum. There will be changes, I’m sure. As in any story, a character must evolve to have a story. “

No information has been leaked about the plot of James Bond 25. Despite everything, one wonders how the director will register this movie in the continuity of Casino Royale , which already works in perfect diptych with Quantum of Solace. It seemed that this chapter on the 007 was ended, especially as the story had taken a new direction with Skyfall and Spectre.

Cary Fukunaga took the opportunity of this interview to quell a number of rumors, including those on the back of Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz – Spectrum) or Q (Ben Whishaw) :

“Who spread these rumors ? We have not completed the scenario, therefore, there is no way of knowing anything. These are two actors is extraordinary, so if a place can be made for them in the story, I would absolutely. But I don’t know yet what it’s going to be. “

The return to the cinema of the famous secret agent is scheduled for February 12, 2020 (but James Bond 25 risk certainly change the date of launch). In the meantime, Cary Fukunaga wrote and directed the series Maniac with Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, available on Netflix (if you want to find out more our folder is there).
