Tuesday, December 11, at the headquarters of UEFA in Nyon held the draw for the qualifying tournament of the European championship in 2021 among the youth national teams, the results of which 53 teams were divided into nine groups (Hungary and Slovenia as hosts of the final stage have qualified automatically).
The national team of Ukraine will play in group 8 together with the teams of Denmark, Romania, Finland, Northern Ireland and Malta. The first matches in groups 18-20 March 2019, the latest on 5-13 October 2020.
In the final tournament which will be held in June 2021 th, will make 12 teams — Hungary, Slovenia and 10 strongest teams of the tournament. Directly to the final stage in the UEFA European under-2021 will the winners of the nine groups. But another pass play in the playoffs (9-17 November 2020), the four best teams placing in the groups second place.

Let me remind you that in the past the qualifying round of the Ukrainian “Junior” played in one group with national teams of England, Netherlands, Scotland, Latvia and Andorra, finishing at the finish line in third place behind the British and the Dutch.
