Lutsenko made a loud statement about the shooting of Euromaidan

The Prosecutor General’s office has completed the examination in the case of executions of activists on Euromaidan. This was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.

According to him, the process of investigation will be finalized in early 2019.

“We have completed the examination of the case of the persons who gave the orders (according to investigators) to shoot peaceful Maidan. Early next year we will complete the result, we can show the public, the suspect and later the accused, evidence that it is Yanukovych, Zakharchenko, Yakymenko, Shuliak, respectively, the President, the head of the SBU, interior Ministry, Interior troops and their subordinates gave the criminal orders, which were killed on the Maidan, more than 100 people”, — said Lutsenko.

The duration of the investigative process, he explained what was involved in the shooting managed to destroy most of the data before fleeing to Russia. As a result, investigators had to interview thousands of people and bit by bit to ustanavlivat the facts, evidence, and conduct examination.

Simultaneously it became known that the Prosecutor General’s office sent to court indictment against the former Deputy chief of one of regional departments of militia of Kiev, and the security officer of this Department on charges of beating a student during the events of the revolution of dignity on Maidan in 2014. This was reported by the press service of the GPU.

The incident occurred in the capital’s Podil in January 2014. Law enforcement officers have been qualified under part 2 of article 28, part 2 of article 365, part 1 of article 366, part 2 of article 384, article 340 of the criminal code of Ukraine (“Excess of authority on preliminary arrangement by group of persons, forgery, perjury and unlawful obstruction of the organization, holding of meetings, rallies, campaigns and demonstrations”).

In November 2018 in Kiev was detained by the former officer of Internal troops, who, according to prosecutors, was directly involved in the shooting of “euromaidan protesters” 20 Feb 2014. On interrogation he admitted he had been shooting from the Windows of the Cabinet.

Earlier, Lutsenko promised that the trial in the case of the shooting of Euromaidan will be launched immediately after the completion of the trial of treason of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych.
