The growing number of special children studying in schools where inclusive education is introduced, showed a high tolerance in relation to children with special needs.
About an interview with Facts, said the adviser of the Governor of Dnepropetrovsk Yuri Golik.
“The growth in the number of children with special needs who are already enrolled on the system of inclusive education in our area, says that in society there is tolerance for such children. This means that our country has a future,” said the adviser.
He also noted that, according to the President of Petro Poroshenko, “inclusion in education is the key to our unity, which begins at school”.
“The President is right — it all starts with childhood. If a child with some physical disabilities have no opportunity to go out into the world, then we lose him as a citizen and personality. Subsequently can lose the country,” said Golik.
According to him, over the past three years the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration has implemented the inclusion of 225 schools in the region of 1000. The number of students with special needs increased from 4 to 860.
