Residents of three States – new York, new Jersey and Connecticut – will be able to take a little break from the heat! But unfortunately for many lovers of active rest on the nature, heavy rains this weekend will need to engage in a favorite pastime, because the rains will not only lead to cooler temperatures and possible flooding.
Widely scattered heavy rains already began on Friday (10 August) in the evening and increased during the night at that time, as the temperature sometimes dropped to 60°F (15-21°C).
Saturday showers can become even stronger, especially in the second half of the day. A mix of wind from the ocean and clouds will keep the temperature between 80°F (26°C).
According to the National weather service (NWS), there is also a risk of coastal floods are associated with the same wind that comes from the shore, and the new moon.
Sunday across the region will be more showers, but there is good news. It lies in the fact that the flow will not be so intense as Saturday. Overall, the day will be dark and raw. The temperature will not change and will not exceed 80°F (26°C).
Over the weekend, will have about 1-2 inches (2-5 cm) of precipitation. And though the rain won’t go continuously, some areas will be flooded. For example, the heavy rain will be held on the territory of New England.
The weekend rain ends. In the beginning of next week rains don’t stop, and probably even intensify. By mid-week the rain should subside and temperatures will again soar to 90°F (32°C).
As reported by AccuWeather, another storm could come to the region to the next weekend and bring more rain and thunderstorms.
