In the village Kopytkov Rivne oblast of the Russian Orthodox Church forbade people to pray in Ukrainian. Parishioners in January declined from the Moscow Patriarchate and moved on to DNC, but the priest refused to conduct the service in the Ukrainian language.
In the Church yard gathered more than fifty parishioners, and on the threshold, before the door of the Church, was the former Abbot, who inexplicably refused to go to the DNC, according to the head of the Zdolbuniv district Sergey Kondratuk in Facebook.
On the argument that the Church belongs not to the priest, and the community, relatives of the priest indicated that local costs to build a new Church and to pray in the Ukrainian language there.
People managed to get to the temple, but the priest was allowed to take what he pleased and leave.
“Glad that society still has wisdom, sad that the Abbot, who for decades taught the Word of God like that… don’t find words,” commented one user.
“Members are wise people! Rallied and gave their Shrine!” – added a second.
