A new government report showed that knowledge of 8-graders in mathematics from 2010 to 2016 have improved across Canada, except Ontario.
The Ministry of education analyzed the test results, the development of which is under their responsibility.
The report also found that over a six-year period, knowledge of students from Ontario math remains the same – average. And in Quebec, for example, moreover, that pupils show the best results in the country, their GPA increased significantly.
In General, according to the report, the knowledge of students in mathematics in Canada has improved but not much.
In 2016 at Canada-Wide assessment system has been tested 27,000 students from almost 1,500 different schools from 10 provinces. The results were compared with those obtained in the previous two reports in 2010 and 2013.
