Lavrov, for his part, underlined the unacceptability of “the practice of submitting unsubstantiated public accusations,” contrary to the norms of international communication. He also noted that any mutual concerns should be discussed through the established channels of dialogue and fact-based.
Earlier it became known that Austria has detained a retired Colonel of the armed forces on suspicion of gathering intelligence for Moscow. According to media reports, a former officer, now retired, during his service in the Austrian army about 20 years engaged in espionage in favor of Russia.
