So yes, Stranger Things has become a true cultural phenomenon in a very short time, but it must be admitted that the series bears very badly a second viewing. More reason to wait for season 3 like crazy.

Unfortunately, it’s going to have to take damn his evil in patience, since we do not find the new adventures of the band of buddies Hawkins next summer, as revealed by the small infomercial well sympatoche which has been released by Netflix in mid-July. A lovely way to offer us a small gift to make us wait for the broadcast while playing on our frustration of not discovering the new episodes. You can say what you want but, at Netflix, the communication it’s not part of Stranger Things, they have mastered.

Maya Hawke and Joe Keery

However, we should not think that this presentation is deliciously retro Starcourt Mall to Hawkins reflect what will this third season. In effect, the producer and co-creator of the show, Shawn Levy, comes to reveal the micro of The Playlist that it was totally the opposite since this third season would be the darkest of all :

“There is no doubt that, as you saw in the infomercial, the Starcourt Mall will be part of season 3. Just like the summer season. So season 3 does contain a good dose of lightness, summery and fun cultural. But I can promise you that the season will go in corners that much darker and much more rich in terms of action that the rest of the series. It would be a mistake to believe that this season 3 is a great sunny summer, because it is much more than that.”

It is not there to laugh

Of course, we wouldn’t expect any less of the series of the brothers Duffer. After all, we are not here to see teens popping up late listening to rock, descending beer and play Galaga. We want to especially see them freaking out their mothers, suffer, running in all directions to escape something weird and gradually blow the seals. Yes, we really don’t heart. You have to admit that this is also what you expect…
