The ashes of the Creator of the cult animated series “spongebob Squarepants,” Stephen Hillenburg, who died November 26 in Los Angeles, dispelled after cremation over the sea — mile from the California coast. This publication reports TMZ.
Hillenburg, who was a marine biologist by training, began his career in animation in 1987, having the opportunity to combine his love of the ocean with artistic talents.
As previously reported, he died at the age of 57 after in March of last year he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
The series “spongebob Squarepants”, the characters who live in the underwater world, is broadcast on the TV channel Nickelodeon since 1999.
Hillenberg is survived by his wife and son.
