cat in Louisiana New Orleans
Yesterday, September 17, about 7.5 thousand inhabitants of New Orleans (La) were without electricity. And the reason for the blackouts was not a strong wind — an echo of the hurricane “Florence,” a… cat.
As told in the power company Entergy, about nine in the morning the cat climbed into the room of the substation feeding portions of Uptown, Central City, Mid-City and CBD. The result was several short circuits.
After 1.5 hours without light was still 200 homes. And after some time, Entergy announced that its emergency crews had fully restored the electricity supply.
Unfortunately, the cat after the shock did not survive.
In comments to the tweet of the company, the Entergy Neworleans wrote: “Hope he enjoys his remaining eight lives,”and noted that “it is not the most unusual thing that could happen in a city like New Orleans.”
