Gareth Evans is preparing Gangs of London, a series with Joe Cole on a war of gangs.

While a lot of people still dream of a The Raid 3 after the shoots of the movie The Raid and The Raid 2 : Berandal, Gareth Evans has made The Good Apostle, released on Netflix a few weeks ago. And while much of the world continues to dream of The Raid 3, as the filmmaker himself think about buried, he prepares a new project : a series titled Gangs of London.

There will therefore be a question of a war of gangs, and it’s Joe Cole, seen in Peaky Blinders and A prayer before dawn, which will lead the dance.

In ten episodes, Gangs of London will follow the clash between various gangs who seek to take control of the bottom fund in london, following the murder of a leader of the local mafia. Hard not to imagine that the director of The Raid will take the opportunity to orchestrate new fighting furious, so much so that the presence of the excellent Joe Cole is going in this direction, having regard to its performance mad in A prayer before dawn.

Joe Cole will give the reply to Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Narges Rashidi, and Mark Lewis Jones.

Gareth Evans will be credited as the creator and showrunner of Gangs of London, part of a idea original to him. It will carry out several episodes. Xavier Gens (Frontier(s), The Divide) and Corin Hardy (The Nun) will also be behind the camera.
