80-year-old star of “Silence of the lambs” Anthony Hopkins took over the homeless when he starred in the new film adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “King Lear”.
In the modern adaptation of a work from the “bi-Bi-si” Anthony Hopkins played Lear in madness: he wanders the streets in tattered clothes and roll your stuff in the truck.
Director Richard Eyre before the film said that during filming one of these scenes to Hopkins was approached by a woman in a wheelchair. “You know, up the street there is a hostel, the cart can drive you there if you want she said!” recalls of Ayr.
“King Lear” with Anthony Hopkins will be released on the “Bi-bi-si” in a short time. The film also starred Emma Thompson, Emily Watson, Florence Pugh and Andrew Scott.
