The Ontario government headed by the conservative progressive leader Doug Ford made the decision to cancel the project for the development of clean electricity. This solution will cost more than $100 million for the company to enter into a government contract.
This week, the ruling progressive conservatives of Ontario has stated that one of their first priorities during the summer session of the legislature will cancel the contract for the project White pines in Prince Edward County.
According to experts, to the final decision-making phase, which will start the process of cancellation of the contract, only a matter of seconds.
The project itself involves nine wind turbines designed to produce enough electricity to power just over 3,000 homes a year. It is expected that all turbines will be installed within the next three weeks, and the test is scheduled for next month.
