Ah, we can say that The Last Jedi has put quite a mess since its release. Because here we are, almost a year later, and he is always looking for excuses.

But it is true that, mine of nothing, the Last of The Jedi will have been an important step in the new life of Star Wars in that it has divided the fans into two camps and revealed a certain part of the public toxic that were directly cast on the social networks to express their discontent. So if initially, it doesn’t bother us, when certain limits are exceeded, it is not used any more really his intention. And it’s all because of one man, Rian Johnson, accused of having killed Star Wars, you have flingué everything that had been put in place and, more serious still, to have totally screwed up the character of Luke Skywalker.

A long-awaited moment for the past 30 years that ends in-water flange

In effect, the fans, hardcores have not really appreciated that the legendary Jedi is portrayed as an old fart on his island, a cynic who drinks the milk blue from the udder of a cow to the space while swaying over his light saber over his shoulder so that it has been 30 years that we waited to review it. It’s called foiling expectations. This change in depth of the character was placed on the sole credit of Johnson, definitely the man to shoot down, but today, it is a sound of a bell a little different that is heard.

The first concept art of 2013

In fact, a few days ago, Phil Szostak, the manager of the creative department of Lucasfilm, and the author of many works dealing with the universe of the saga, published on his Twitter account with a concept art that changes completely what was believed to be the truth. In fact, the illustration we present the first design of Luke Skywalker, stating that he date as of January 2013, at a time when that was the responsibility of J. J. Abrams, and that at this time, Luke was seen as “a kind of Colonel Kurtz, who was hiding from the world deep in the cave.” An obvious reference to Apocalypse Now , of course, that also suggests that the character would be enclosed in its melancholy, even in his madness after a tragic event. What we find more or less in the film in the end.

Because of this, Rian Johnson has not destroyed, Skywalker, since it was an arc planned from the start. All he did was surf on the idea by adding a bit of humor. Is this really deserves a lynching public for a year ? Not sure.

I feel….. I feel it’s not going to change anything, this info…
