After the storm struck Mississippi and Alabama, in the vast region were fallen trees and torn power lines. The mayor of one of cities in Mississippi are trapped in their own home, as the trees blocked all the exits.
Dozens of flights were cancelled or delayed the main airport in New Orleans after two power outages. Reports of severe floods was not. Meteorologist John Moore of the National weather service said that dozens of fallen trees had been weakened by the recent droughts, their fall became the reason of breakage of transmission lines.
The mayor of Tupelo, Jason Shelton (Jason Shelton) couldn’t get out of his own house, rescuers had to clear the debris from the trees to release it. One of the collapsed trees destroyed part of the house, the newspaper Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal.
The press Secretary of the city Lucia Randle said Shelton was hospitalized, but is feeling well.
