Today, Swiss prosecutors said that from March 2017, the same two men held the suspects in a criminal investigation “because of cyber attacks against the world anti-doping Agency.”
“The investigation is on suspicion of political espionage,” – said the press Secretary of the Prosecutor’s office Linda von Burg.
She confirmed that persons associated with the alleged hacking of the Swiss office of WADA, “these are the same persons detained during the operation, the Federal intelligence service, in connection with the laboratory in Spiez”.
The press Secretary added that the Prosecutor General asked the Ministry of justice of Switzerland to obtain permission for the prosecution of persons about the incident with WADA.
