The star on the Christmas tree Rockefeller center will change for the first time in 14 years

The Swarovski starthat adorns the famous Christmas tree at Rockefeller centerfor the first time in 14 years waiting for the redesign.
As reported by the jewelry company, famous for the decoration will appear in a new look this November. Work on it will be the architect Daniel Libeskind, who developed the plan of reconstruction of the World Trade Center.
“The design of the new Swarovski star for Christmas tree Rockefeller center was inspired by the beauty of the sky — concealing so much”, said Libeskind in a statement. “It’s a symbol of our dreams, aspirations to unity and peace.”
Nadja Swarovski, member of the Board of Directors of the company, called the architect, already Sotrudnichestvo with Swarovski two years ago, “one of the greatest creative geniuses in the world” and expressed the hope that the famous new York star “will Shine as a lighthouse of hope for many years”.
Daniel Libeskind, American architect deconstructivist Polish origin, became famous thanks to his passion for experiments with geometrical forms and unconventional look at architecture. Among his most famous works — the Jewish Museum in Berlin, the Freedom Tower in new York, the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto and the building of Frederick Hamilton at the Denver art Museum.
In 2016 he created for Swarovski’s famous crystal-marble chess set. The Board in it was a map of Milan and new York, and each figure resembled the one designed by Libeskind buildings.
