The underground metal music festival Waterloo Underground broke its traffic records this past weekend. Nearly 1800 people attended the shows on Friday and Saturday.
“It was our first two-day event and I think it was worth it,” says organizer Alex St-Martin. His team decided to focus on the presence of a tribute band to Rage Against the Machine, the Wake up! Band, as headliner Friday night. A choice that particularly pleased festival-goers.
“We saw that it is a recipe that works and we will bet on it next year,” says Alex St-Martin.
