Ukraine insists on the exchange of hostages and prisoners with the representatives of the so-called self-proclaimed LDNR according to the “23 in 23” and “66 to 19” and intends to voice its position on the Tripartite meeting of the contact group in Minsk on December 19. This was stated by the representative of Ukraine in the TAG Yevhen Marchuk.
He recalled that a meeting of the group on 19 December will be the last in 2018, so it is important to reach concrete agreements.
“Ready today option exchange on December 27 according to the “23 in 23” and “66 to 19″. We formally proposed at the meeting on 4 December. Russia does not agree. We will again be paid (proposal. Ed.) On 19 December, when the 101st round of talks in Minsk,” he said.
Formula 23/23 provides for the exchange of 23 Russians serving sentences in Ukrainian jails and prisons, illegally detained in Russia Ukrainian political prisoners, the formula “66 on 19” — the exchange of prisoners in Ukraine militants for hostages in non-government controlled areas of Donbas.
The last exchange of hostages with the so-called “LDNR” took place on 27 December 2017.
Recall, the only thing that managed to negotiate the meeting of the Tripartite contact group on December 4, was the move to Ukraine 60 prisoners caught in colonies and prisons on the other side of the line of differentiation on Donbass.
