The studio Sony recovery finally again in the race for super-heroes. And it begins on 10 October with Venom. A film very important for the events.
It is true that when one has learned the existence of Venom, it was pretty divided : super pleased at the idea of seeing the character finally treated to the film after his appearance in Spider-Man 3, but a little perplexed that the film is done so that Spider-Man is still at Marvel. There was a non-sense seminal it was preferred to put them aside to play the game. After all, Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, it’s a great idea and to rediscover director Ruben Fleischer (Welcome to Zombieland) on a large-scale project, a very good news.
Ah-grou grou les ch’tis no children !
Has a month and a half of its release, we are already more fearful : because the film has changed his tone to take on the consumer side, it falls into a logical franchise before they even know if it will work with the public, and because the absence of Spider-Man is also always a task. Yet, the fact that Peter Parker returns theoretically at Sony in 2019 could open a few doors interesting in the future, which will unfortunately be closed for the movie we are talking about today.
Yet nothing is less sure since all this is only personal conclusions, and that everything is possible, since Sony and Marvel are working hand in hand on Spider-Man : Far From Home. And it is in their best interest to both maintain a minimum level of consistency in order not to lose and upset the public.
Then, Spider-Man in Venom, dream or reality ? The Los Angeles Times went to ask the matter directly to Ruben Fleischer.
Tom Holland will there be an appearance (or just Spidey in costume) ?
“Quite honestly, I don’t know that I have the right to say or not. I mean, I know the answer – I’ve seen the film. But I don’t want to have problems by saying something that I’m not supposed to reveal.”
In short, we don’t know more. But the answer is interesting. In fact, without a response, everything is possible and maintaining as well the doubt, Fleischer and the studio, transform it into a selling point. A portion of the public will probably see Venom as to whether or not Spidey is in it. So yes, it is cheap as a marketing method but hey, there is more to it around this time huh.
