At the Napoleon-Fontaine stadium on Tuesday night, the Warriors lost 10-5 to the Cards de LaSalle. The Granbyens (24-8) had won their previous four games.
The Cards led 2-1 at the time of batting in the fifth inning. But the visitors scored six points against Samuel Robichaud and Samuel Blier, putting the game out of range of the Warriors, who nevertheless recorded a point in the fifth and sixth innings and two more in the seventh.
Justin Humenay and Samuel Lazzer hurt the Warriors by producing three points each. Humenay was an enigma for local pitchers throughout the night, with five hits in as many batting presences.
After four victories, Samuel Robichaud suffered his first failure of the season. He awarded six earned runs in four rounds of work.
In the defeat, Maxime Desruisseaux produced two points, while Xavier Bégin and Alexandre Lapointe hit two hits each.
Conor Angel (5-1) was the winning pitcher. In six runs and two-thirds of work, he has awarded five points, including three deserved. He also removed nine batters.
The Warriors will play a double program in Saint-Eustache Saturday against the Bisons.
